Yuki No Bosha,
"Cabin in the Snow," is a celebration of the northern, Akita
region of Japan. Rustic, rugged and rural, Akita is cherished by the
Japanese for its lively festivals, tranquil winter and delicious sake.
Yuki No Bosha sake is rich and layered. A balance between deep, mellow
fruitness and earthy, rustic spiciness runs throughout their sake
with some being rich and robust and others being light and airy. The
Saitos mainly use locally raised Gin No Sei and Akita
Komachi rice. They supplement these with Yamada Nishiki
from Hyogo for some of their daiginjos.
